Are you free to think? Are you sure? Have you ever put your ideas to the test of antagonistic ones and experienced confrontation? Or are you just repeating ideological platitudes?
These and other questions began the lecture yesterday (06/14) with Stephan Eduard Schneebeli, Lawyer and Partner at SGMP+ Advogados, in the auditorium of the America Centro Empresarial, with Associate III, Henrique Miranda, leading the event.
He also addressed other reflections before giving the floor to the guest speaker: "When there is no freedom and awareness, the learning process is completely compromised, which consequently hinders the elaboration and development of knowledge. Without a doubt, one of the biggest problems regarding the development of the human being is precisely the absence of environments in which all ideals can freely transit in order to also be freely refuted."
In this way, Stephan can contribute his vast experience and knowledge about free thinking to the event, basing his talks on his favorite authors. Having more than 4,000 books in his house and strong literary indications, some phrases stood out, such as:
"There are essentially two kinds of people in the world: the independent thinkers and the second-hand thinkers. The former faces reality and thinks for himself; the latter faces other people and expects them to think for him." Graig Biddl
"You can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring it." Ayn Rand
"We are all immersed in the historical flux of our time, accepting as truth the multiple relative truths that circulate around us." John Kerr
Among many others that were part of the discussions and brainstorming between the guest and the Leaders associates. It is worth mentioning that the company he is part of, SGMP+, is a maintainer of the Institute and successively has been standing out in the regional and national market with its advocacy, consulting and litigation management services.
