Yesterday, October 17th, the lecture with Renato Amoedo took place in the auditorium of América Empresarial with the theme "Impact of cryptocurrencies on the State model we know", complementing the Study of the Book "The Bitcoin Standard: The decentralized alternative to central banking". The event leader was Associate II, Victor Casagrande.

Renato graduated in Law by extraordinary achievement at UFBA and in Production Engineering (1st in Brazil in ENADE). He has a master's degree in Economic Law from UFBA with honors and a master's degree in Law and Economics from EMLE, an Erasmus Mundus scholarship (1st in the world in category A) from the Universities of Bologna, Hamburg, and Erasmus (Rotterdam). He is the author of the book "Bitcoin Red Pill" and a Criminal Expert.

With great experience in the theme, the speaker brought to the event some of his knowledge about the subject, explaining the initial concepts, how to invest, and the precautions that must be taken. He also showed the positive points of having a currency that is neither linked to nor dependent on the State, leading to a reflection on how it can affect the economy in general.

Renato brought a lot of data about Bitcoin, comparing it to other currencies, showing its trends, among others. At the end, the members were able to ask questions to the speaker through the mediation of Victor Casagrande, where they could answer their questions.
