Yesterday, September 19th, Maurílio Nunes, Lieutenant Colonel of the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro and Master in Business Management, gave a lecture. The event took place in the auditorium of América Empresarial and was conducted by the event leader Luis Zandonadi, Associate II of the Institute.

The event's theme was "Managing high performance teams", in which the lecturer explored a little more about the "extreme leadership" that he has experienced in his life, in his day-to-day work, as a Colonel and Commander of BOPE (Special Operations Battalion).

As an introduction to the lecture, Luis brought in his briefing a little of the meaning of the central theme: "Leadership according to the dictionary is someone who holds a leading position, and leader is one who exerts influence on the behavior or way of thinking of other people."

In his exposition on leadership and management, Maurílio brought much of his experience in BOPE connecting with business experiences, generating greater value to the content presented. Besides the members learning about the theme, they could also understand a little more about the Special Operations Battalion, making the lecture even more interesting.

At the end of the event, the members asked questions to the lecturer, and were very curious to know more about extreme leadership and decision making, which often has to be done in a matter of seconds, for example. In addition to the lecture, yesterday we recorded an ILAcast with Maurilio that will soon be available for you to watch!
