The lecture with the Founder and President of the Mises Brasil Institute had as its theme the book “The Six Lessons” by Ludwig von Mises
Last Monday, February 8th, there was a lecture for the members of Líderes with the participation of Hélio Beltrão, Founder and current President of Mises Brasil Institute. The lecture took place in the auditorium of América Centro Empresarial, the event was mediated by the Associate II, João Pedro Pires Dalla Bernardina.
He said in his briefing: “What separates a society that is heading towards prosperity from a society that is heading towards darkness, are the ideas adopted. (...) Hélio was a pioneer of the liberal movement as we know it, he is the founder and president of the Mises Brasil Institute, responsible for being the gateway to liberal ideas for so many people, as was mine.”
The speaker brought in his presentation, in a summarized way, the themes of the book “The six lessons” by Ludwig von Mises, which are capitalism, socialism, interventionism, inflation, foreign investment and the relationship between politics and ideas. His presentation was dynamic, with graphics and video presentation, showing current concepts so that everyone could understand better the lessons in the book.
Hélio Beltrão was an Executive at Banco Garantia, Midia Investimentos and Sextante Investimentos. He is the Founder and was a member of the Advisory Board of Millenium Institute, Founder and President of Mises Brasil Institute and LVM Editora. Currently, he is also a columnist of Folha de São Paulo.
