Lecture with Carlos Gustavo Poggio

Carlos Gustavo Poggio is a teacher and a researcher in the field of International Relations with focus on US politics.


Yesterday, March 14th, there was a lecture for the members of the Líderes at América Centro Empresarial. The event was mediated by Associate II and the event leader, Leonard Batista, and was rounded off with the participation of Carlos Gustavo Poggio, teacher and researcher in the field of International Relations, and PhD in International Studies with a Fulbright scholarship from Old Dominion.

In addition, Poggio is currently a professor of the International Relations course at FAAP and a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology for Studies on the United States (INCT-INEU). He is the author of "Brazil, the United States, and the South American Subsystem" (Lexington, 2012), named by Foreign Affairs magazine as one of the best books on international relations of 2012.

The central theme of the lecture was geopolitics, and other themes were approach, such as: the world order, Mercosul, NATO and the War of Russia X Ukraine, this being the most awaited topic of the night. Carlos presented concepts, trends and personal opinions on the subject, leading to a great reflection by everyone.

The event leader, Leonard Batista, made the second part of the event, focused on questions and answers, very fluid and well directed, resulting in an event of excellence!
