The former CEO of Intel presents in the book a manual for planning and executing the work, guiding and developing teams of excellence

On July 26, 2021, the book “High Performance Management” was studied and presented by associates Anna Luiz Guerzet, Guilherme Paiva, Heitor Fernandes, Henrique Miranda and Mário Miranda. The event leader was Cristiano Stein, Associate III of the Institute.

The group divided the presentation into four topics, namely People, Culture, Method and Reason, and how each approach can directly influence business decisions and results. Curiosities about the author Andrew S. Grove were also mentioned, from his childhood until he became the “Father of the OKRs”, a methodology created in the last century, but which thousands of companies use today.

This “management by objectives” was demonstrated by two Honorary Associates, guests at the event, to tell the story of the Marca Ambiental company and the implementation of the methodology in their realities. This promoted an enrichment in the debate, allowing members to see in practice the words that Andrew left in his book.

The event leader said in his briefing: “Grove describes the key responsibilities of a manager and what you need to know about your employees and their leadership role. You will learn how to collect information you need to make the right decisions, how to motivate your team and, most importantly, how to improve your company's performance.”

The event took place exclusively online and was attended by more than 70 associates.
