Yesterday, August 29th, the book study "Execution: the discipline to achieve results", written by Lawrence Bossidy and Ram Charan, took place. The leader of the event was the Associate III, Alberto Vieira, who counted with the presentation of the associates Augusto Chieppe, Hilcker Scopel, Juliana Bravo, and Nilmara Oliveira.
To start the event, Alberto began with a brief introduction of the book: "Have you ever wondered why some company strategies go wrong? This often happens because they are not well executed. Good plans without execution are useless. Good plans without people to execute them don't happen. Well-intentioned people without a strategy don't achieve the goals. Goals set without defined processes don't achieve the strategy.".
After the introduction, the rest of the group started the book's presentation, which was divided into 4 themes: execution culture, people, strategy, and processes. And for the associates to have a greater contact with the practical part, a dynamic was made dividing the public into four groups, in which each group was responsible for developing or improving an activity of the Institute based on one of the presented themes.
At the end, each group exposed its considerations and suggestions, so that they could be evaluated and applied to the institute's activities. In addition, the members were able to make their contributions about the book and the dynamics, providing feedback so that our events can get better and better!
