The event brought a positive perspective on economic recovery in Brazil and in the post-pandemic world

The event happened last Monday, 07, which received the Chief Economist and Head of Research at Banco Inter, Rafaela Vitoria. Already acting as Director of Wealth Management at Bankboston, Coordinator of Analysis and Research at Kinea Investimentos, Director of Corporate Ratings for Latin America at Standard and Poors, she has also been Partner-Director of Analysis at Sonar Investimentos.

“We live in the dichotomy of not being able to predict the future and preparing for it at the same time, choosing one of two things. Faced with the impossibility of the first, we must stick with the second. An excellent way to do this, with relative success, is precisely to debate the recovery of the economy in Brazil and in the world, based on the comparison between available data and the knowledge and experience of someone who lives and is intensely dedicated to analyzing economy and market.” Said Vander Santos Giuberti, Associate II and event leader, opening the lecture.

Rafaela showed in her presentation facts and arguments that economic impacts of 2021 was actually lighter than last year, when many sectors had not learned how to work during the pandemic. She demonstrated a positive scenario, not the best, but that Brazil is gradually debating more ideas and investigating new markets to put in practice.

Therefore, Rafaela also spoke a little bit about her personal aspirations, currently writing a doctoral thesis about privatization. She is currently a postgraduate professor at PUC-Minas and a master's degree at Skema and Fundação Dom Cabral; and she said that this is all part of her dream – working and taking financial education to people in a democratic way!
